Since you like taking photos so much and in other peoples business. Why don't you take a picture of the DOOR DINGS I've gotten and the scratches on my tuck from people squeezing in between cars. Also Notice how there are multiple parking spaces around. To the side of me and behind me. I would say a good 10-15 parking spots all around me plus alot more colser to the door. Also I don't see a picture of how far I have to walk to the front door to get in. I don't hear anyone complaing about how far I have to walk to get in the bulding or my truck when it's raining/snowing/etc.etc. And If you like taking pictures so much come back Mon-Fri and my truck will be in the same spot it has been for the past year or so. If you want I'll even park it in back wards for the cool effect. You have way to much time on your hands and need to get a life.
2. Your truck is a big fat target!
@2LATEIWON - Door dings and scratches are a part of owning a car and operating it. I wonder if some of those scratches have something to do with people not appreciating the way you park like you own the parking lot? I have been to that parking lot many t
3. AND???
First off I'm always going to be in that parking spot unless you beat me there. It's like standing in line for something first come first serve. If you don't like were I park beat me there. Actually I'm most likely a better driver than most. I can probably back in a trailer better than you can drive. And YES I can park in between the lines! And when I did park in between the lines. That is when I would get the door dings and scratches. Now after parking out as far as I can I haven't got a ding/dent/scratch since then. So my method of parking is working. The fact of the matter is people have no respect for other peoples property. If they door ding someone they could care less "It's not their car" and If they did do you think they would leave a note? So I may not have much but I take care of my stuff. I also take all the precautions I can to insure that what I have PAID for stays nice and not have someone who doesn't care ruin it for me. So that's where this statement comes in to be very true. "If you don't watch out for your self and you possessions NO ONE ELSE WILL." So if you can guarantee no one will ever door ding me scratch my truck what ever I will be more than happy to park in between the lines every where I go. That's a lot less walking for me. This is just something YOU are going to have to get over and find something better to do with your time.
4. Door dings and scratches are a part of owning a car and operatin
Door dings and scratches are a part of owning a car and operating it. But this is the big misconception of it all. It doesn't have to be that way. You don't leave you doors unlocked at your house or on your car do you? Well cars and houses get broken into it's just a part of life. But if you lock your doors put signs out that say you have some sort of security system. This helps prevent you from having to deal with the wrath of LIFE and bad things that happen.
5. It's a vehicle, not your first born...
First let me say that I am EXTREMELY jealous of your trailer parking abilities. I can not backup a trailer very well at all, its something that I constantly struggle with. Some nights I stay awake all night haunted by the fact that I can't park a trailer accurately. Maybe some day. As far as your obsession with protecting your vehicle I think your going a little overboard. In the process of protecting your precious vehicle you show no respect for other people who you share the parking lot with. Nothing worse than not being able to park in a spot because some guy obsessed with protecting his vehicle believes his right to park is greater than yours. Whats wrong with parking in no mans land correctly? That way the number of people parking next to you is limited to only the times when the place is really really busy which will limit your exposure to dings? At the same time you are respecting your co-workers and visitors of the building? Sure, your chances of someone brushing up against your vehicle are a little greater than taking two spaces. At the same time you don't have to worry about walking out to someone who has keyed your car because you parked like an inconsiderate jerk. It happens all the time! Watch out for those keys!
6. Is it me?
or is that truck not even really that nice? what is the big deal if it gets scratched a little? I think Trucks are supposed to have a few dings and scratches in order to look manly anyway.
7. It's disrespectful
Yes, you parked out by the street but you took up two (2) parking spots. Then when another employee needs to park and the lot is full, what do they do?… they park in the visitor parking section because people like you take up two spots. Then when visitors come to do business and visitor parking is full of employee’s vehicles what do they do. They park in the handicap parking section. And don’t get me started on the problems the handicap have with parking in this lot. Now, do you understand a little bit more about how it’s not just about YOU!
8. Trailer Backing Abilities
WAIT!!! I want to get back to the TRAILER BACKING ABILITIES of this individual. I'm not for sure what that had to do with this particular instance, but since it was brought up I think we should have a trialer backing contest in this parking lot. It happens that I can back a trailer up pretty good myself. How about Monday 2-5-07 after work, that way every body can stay late and watch. And we can invite Jason so you can give him some pointers on better trailer backing...
9. How can you say that?
Is it me? or is that truck not even really that nice? what is the big deal if it gets scratched a little? I think Trucks are supposed to have a few dings and scratches in order to look manly anyway. How can you say that? Honestly from that picture you can't see how nice or ugly my truck really is. I don't know your expectations of a nice truck is but to me a nice truck doesn't have to be a total custom one with thousands upon thousands of dollars tied up in after market stuff. I nice truck is one that doesn't have have big dents dings rust spots broken glass. A CLEAN stock truck can be a nice truck.
10. I think Trucks are supposed to have a few dings and scratches in
And this statement has to be the most idiotic thing I have ever heard in my life!!! So if TRUCKS are supposed to have dings and scratches why don't they come from the factory that way? Obviously you don't have to much to say on this topic so you resort to name calling ("Is it me or is that truck really not even that nice") and stupid comments ("I think Trucks are supposed to have a few dings and scratches in order to look manly anyway. ") This truly shows that you are the main reasons why I park the way I do. You think my truck should have dints, dings and scratches. And with that statement I will continue to park the way I do. Cause obviously many people think this way and you just proved it. I thought people thought this way and that is why I protect my valuables and park as far away as I can and in two spaces so the people that think "it's okay to hit his truck. It should have them that scratch I just put in it anyway's it adds character to it. It makes it more manly" I didn't buy my truck to look manly and no the damage doesn't make any vehicle look manly. I am in true disbelief that people actually feel this way and admit it. I am probably the most car crazed fan around and to hear someone say that not only pisses me off but also shows no respect for other peoples property. Which adds to the flame. There are only a few things that will set me over the edge and that is thiefs and vandalizes weather it's on purpose or if you damage something and not hold yourself reliable ( like putting a note on the car with your info). Your a disgrace to the common courtesy of all man kind.
11. Trailer Backing Abilities "Switchback"
Jasonok6 was implying that I could drive or park right. I think all people that read this will know I intended to park that way on purpose. So the answer is yes I can park between the lines and no I don't choose to do so. (read above for all my other comments.) As for the challenge. I'm up for it!! Sounds like fun. Just keep in mind I said "most people". Seriously I think this should be fun!!
12. Now it's your turn ;-) "MOM"
Since you are the only one that asked half way nicely, made the most sense and remained to be the most adult about this. I will start to park out where I usually do but only on space instead of two. On one and only one condition. If I Get one more scratch, dent or ding. I will go back to the way I have been parking. The way where I have not gotten a dent scratch or ding for the past year or so.
13. thank you
I understand the frustration of dents and dings; it’s a shame that people can't respect other people’s possessions. I’ve bought new vehicles and parked out in the north 40 and still had people purposely park beside me and scratch my vehicle. I’ve come to the realization that even though I try to protect my vehicle, inevitably there’s always some person out there that gets a thrill in denting nice vehicles. Respect is a two-way street, thank you for going back to taking up one parking spot, it the right thing to do.
14. 2LATEIWON
Yes, This is supposed to be fun..That is what this web site is all about. So take those pictures and post them
15. Okay, Quit Bashing
Honestly, I can relate. As I was walking out to my nice new truck I witnessed first hand a fat lady swing her huge arm and door into the side of my truck. I stopped and almost fell over at the gash it left. Six door dings later I decided to take up two spaces when I went to the mall. This didn't qualify to park that way everywhere I went. I got over it and started parking way far away in hopes I could salvage what was left of my new truck's paint and door condition. However, I decided that if at all possible, since I do drive a truck and all, I seek out spaces next to curbs, get as close as I can to the curb leaving lots of room on the other side for large, or just careless door openers with no respect, or I will just put two wheels in the grass. Whatever. You could have pulled up next to the curb. Leaving plenty of room on the other side of your truck.
16. Hey 2LATEIWON!
You are a woman aren't you? If you can't spot the obvious sarcasm in my last comment, I feel for you. Bottom Line : No matter what your reason for parking like a jerk is, the fact is that most of the other people out there are inconvenienced and generally irritated by you. (probably including the other jerk parkers that wish they had found your two spaces before you did.) Also, I usually don't make defensive comments online, but I do respect other people's property and I have never caused a ding or scratch in my life. I also respect other people's right to find parking spaces and I don't take up more than I need. You need to take a chill pill. You parked like a jerk and someone called you on it. Get over it and have a nice day. PS- Nice Truck!
17. Yehaw!
Man! this internet is fun!
18. Seriously
@TerdFerguson - you need to live in the now, its not the internet...its the internets. Plural.
19. Internets
Yeah, don't you know it's just a series of tubes!

It would be completely different if I parked up front or in a handicap parking spot. But I don't. I can't believe your still crying about this. Quite whinnying and let it go man, let it go!!! You sound like a first grader that's crying about someone cutting in line or something. It's a freaking parking spot. So you might have to walk a few extra feet to where you could have been if I didn't double park. But then again I would be stuck with the damages, inconvenience and irritation. So essentially your telling me to suck up the cost, time, irritation, and the inconvenience and fix my OWN property. Just so I wont irritate or inconvenience the people that are inconsiderate, lazy, unappreciative, uncaring of other peoples property. Just so I wont irritate them or inconvenience them? Sense I don't know who these people are I protect my self against everyone.
21. By the way!!!
Yes I am still parking in one parking spot next to the curb you see in that picture. I hope I make you proud and this makes your day parking nazi's
22. Awesome!
2LATE, I am really starting to like you ......
23. Am I the only one?
Am I the only stubburn person to reply back to the citation? Doesn't anyone else stick up for what they do? Or do they do like I should have done and just accept they were in the wrong and go on about their lives? Well good for them but I think I did liven things up a bit and make the sight a little more interesting don't you think?
24. I think its great
@2LateIWon - I think its great that you responded. I think its cool watching everyone go back and forth. And yes it does make the site more interesting. That was the point to begin with. However, I do think that most people who receive their citations
25. It's cool now!!
I see it as just a joke now. I just get REAL BAD road rage and absolutely can't stand anyone (wife mom dad friend COP)to tell me how to drive/park whatever. I hate people getting into my business. I realize if I double park it becomes someone else's business too but the way I see it is I'm protecting my property. I'm really a pretty cool person but I see this as my only flaw. So sorry you had to see my bad side.
26. I totally understand
@2LATEIWON - I assumed that much. I come off as a smart alec on here a lot, its just my way of having some fun. In the real world, I am not so harsh. The anonymity of the net brings out the antagonist in me...or protagonist depending on your viewpoint
27. I got your back 2LATE...
Don't worry man. Let that person come near your car again. :-) See the orange building on the right of the picture? I'll be sitting up there with something. Just bring me a burger when you leave for lunch. Thanks.
28. Weak...
@Mixed Gas - Internet threats are lame...they also aren't anonymous.
29. Kids.....
About as lame as some young punk kid taking a picture of a hardworking citizen's vehicle and posting it on the net. That is the epitome of lame. Get a life or end yours.
30. ummm...
this is just a random thing i wanted to point out. 2lateiwon, if that's really your name, "dint" is spelled d-e-n-t. i just thought you should know how to spell the word that compels you to park the way you do. thanks!
31. also,
mixed gas, what does being hardworking and parking like a turd have in common? I didn't know either. thanks! P.S. do you like lawnmowers or something? you know, 'cause the gas is mixed? just curious.
32. I'm with you....
Hey Mixed Gas, hell yeah, let's do this, I got me some guns and some crystal meth and a pack of improperly raised pit bulls. Let's get together and teach anyone with some knowledge and creativity a friggin' lesson! Yeeehawwww!!!
33. Bal
Okay Mr. work check Mafia. I went back through there briefly to see where I misspelled it and didn't see any thing. Not saying I didn't misspell d-e-n-t- a time or two But I figured if I can correctly spell other words that's a lot more difficult to read and spell. You should know I can spell the word dent just like I can spell the word Jack Ass!!!!
34. You Gotta Be Kidding Me..
Parkly.net = Whiners.net. Get a life. One social misfit decided to created a website to whine and complain about perceived injustices in the "parking world" and found other social misfits to "share the pain". Like the "Robin Hood" of the parking lot. WooHoo... save us Robin Hood. Glad you guys are out there armed with your little cameras and 1" x 1" petty little pieces of paper citations making it a safe place for the rest of the world! What we would have to deal with otherwise? I shudder to think. You guys are a joke! This website is a joke! I can't believe I am stooping to your level and wasting my valuable time by dignifying this crap with a response. You won't see me here again, but you'll probably see my vehicle parked the same as always. So keep you battery pack charged and your little citations handy. Have A Nice Day - you "mommy didn't nurse me enough", friendless, little rejects.
35. bwahahaha
Good post "GOTOHELL" LOL That was my exact same thinking on this whole matter LOL Anyways just wanted to ck in to see if anything new was typed see ya
36. Fun Reading
Makes me wish I lived in OK again. Looking forward to the comments after I post my first pic. Thanks for the entertainment. and 2LATEIWON, you're alright! Hope your car is still dint-free!
37. Uhhh...
@2LATEIWON- "Work check?" I think you probably meant "word check." Oh, and "JACKASS" is one word, not "JACK ASS." So I guess you can't spell after all, Jackass.
38. Chubby
Probably needs the extra space to get his/her fat bulk out of the trashy truck.
