I Can, Too

The lines on the pavement are to mark a fire lane, not to protect your precious Lexus SUV. You have a great spot in the lot, you pay extra for a reserved space and you still think you're entitled to more. I guess, if everyone else can, you can too!

1. O'COME ON

Are you kidding me???Your seriously going to knock this guy for parking a little to the side. For one he is making more room for the guy next to him to get out. Second there isn't a parking spot to the right of him. Third the parking lot seems to be a nice size. Fourth why are you trying to judge someone just because he/She has an expensive car. You make them out to look like they think more about them selves than anyone else. My car isn't by any means a Lexus but I can guarantee you I would have parked the same way. It's called protecting yourself. Taking extra precautions for the unknown.

2. They are barely on the line too

3. I think your upset

Not because of their (according to you) inability to park but because they make more money than you and this is the only way you can vent your frustration. Nit picking and carrying on about pidily things like this.

4. Why Paint Lines at All?

Three people choose to park their cars into the fire lanes in one day. I saw it as setting a bad example and chose to write them up. This guy was in the very closest spot to the train station. So he got there early, and had the pick of spaces. There are spaces that are next to curbs, that are extra wide, and also are even greater distances away, but provide better protection. He chose to break the law! He could easily be cited $300 for parking in a fire lane. I was just brining it to his attention. The fire lanes exist for a reason; to allow vehicles easy access to the station in the event of an emergency. Yes he’s only taking 6 extra inches, but that is a tight turn and his self-centered attitude could mean difficulty in responding to an event. I’m guessing when they painted those lines it was because of the clearance that would be needed by a fire truck or other response vehicle. If he wants to complain, maybe next time I’ll just call the police instead. Actually, this morning he chose to park elsewhere, so maybe he got the hint. As for jealousy, I drive a much nicer car than he does. …and I’m doing this as fun, not to be a bully. It relieves some stress in the morning, and gives me something to do as I walk from the far edge of the parking lot where I park to protect my car. But, I would not dream of taking two spaces or park in a fire lane. To pile on … this parking lot fills up by 8:00AM, so anyone who takes more than two spaces is depriving others of a place to park, and should actually pay twice the parking fare.

Look who's talking. You get one citation and your hooked and stuck defending all the jerks who arn't man (or woman) enough to respond themselves.

6. I agree with RockvilleEye

The lines are there for a reason, not being able to easily respond to an emergency because some guy is trying to protect his lexus is stupid.

9. You Gotta Be Kidding Me..

Parkly.net = Whiners.net. Get a life. One social misfit decided to created a website to whine and complain about perceived injustices in the "parking world" and found other social misfits to "share the pain". Like the "Robin Hood" of the parking lot. WooHoo... save us Robin Hood. Glad you guys are out there armed with your little cameras and 1" x 1" petty little pieces of paper citations making it a safe place for the rest of the world! What we would have to deal with otherwise? I shudder to think. You guys are a joke! This website is a joke! I can't believe I am stooping to your level and wasting my valuable time by dignifying this crap with a response. You won't see me here again, but you'll probably see my vehicle parked the same as always. So keep you battery pack charged and your little citations handy. Have A Nice Day - you "mommy didn't nurse me enough", friendless, little rejects.
